A restaurant transaction begins long before a cashier totals the bill. It begins with reservations, the room, tables and chairs, menu availability, guest choices, ingredient and allergen context, and the capacity of every kitchen or bar responsible for production. Staff-assisted and guest self-service ordering enter the same operational state. Each item retains its seat, choices, and destination; production advances through sent, preparing, ready, and delivered stages; and targeted notifications replace verbal chasing between hosts, waiters, kitchens, bars, cashiers, managers, and customers. Settlement must be equally connected. A restaurant may close one seat or the whole table, attribute tips, print through configured devices, reconcile cash and terminals, and preserve corrections, currencies, receipts, and Z-report evidence. The operation continues after payment. Ingredient reductions, stock history, shortage and expiry alerts, accounts, transactions, journals, and hospitality integration turn each sale into information that supports the next service rather than an isolated till total.
